Position Description

Volunteer positions with at least 10-days, to monthly, to season-long options from now until December.

This year we are seeking three natural building volunteers. The few long-term volunteer positions we have are for people who want to work hard on a worthwhile project and who have a significant skill-set to bring with them. In exchange for your full-time participation, we’re offering you organics meals, a place to camp, access to the season’s events, a close working and living relationship with experienced Kleiwerks International’s staff, and a full immersion at AVI. Meals will be shared.

Three Natural Building Volunteers will mainly be working with Meka Bunch to:

1) Finish the main house, which will provide space for classes and workshops, a kitchen, and living area for staff. The remodel is well underway. Natural building volunteers will help with natural paint making and application; earthen floor installation; ferro-cement; some light carpentry; etc.

2) Complete the Garottage. Volunteers will help with making natural plasters, paints, and an earthen floor; window installation; some light carpentry; and electric work.
