Kleiwerks' first workshop brought mud enthusiasts from all over the state to build this sweet cob dwelling just minutes from downtown Asheville. It is the first full cob structure in the state of North Carolina. Along with Janell Kapoor, Jim Bixby, and Mollie Curry, many other fine hearts and hands took part in its creation. Started in 1998, the total number of days to completion was 28 with an average crew of 5 people (this is an average of all who took part). The size is 10 x 14 feet exterior with walls averaging 8 feet tall and 15 inches thick. We honor and thank all those who have given to this special project.
