WASI is a once in a lifetime opportunity for the women and organizations who are participating!

Women of the Americas Sustainability Initiative (WASI) will ignite a network of global women leaders from 15 countries across South, Central, and North America who will affect lasting change in their communities. The results will be unique and powerful because WASI brings together a corps of 50 women and support teams for two weeks, then continues to locally-organize a trans-American peer network. The corps will train a total of 1,500 people and construct 15 buildings that serve local communities, including affordable homes, health clinics, educational facilities, and community centers. After year one, the women of WASI will continue to serve as organizers, teachers, and builders in their regions. Media and outreach support through our global networks will bring WASI’s empowered and action-oriented women, communities and projects even further.

There are women who want to participate, but do not have the funds.

We are asking for your support so that women from poorer grassroots organizations can participate.
The fee of $4,000 covers:
• The two-week ecological design-build training, food, and accommodations for one community representative
• A year of support from 20 specialists for each representative, their field project and the training of 100 others. This includes educational materials, video and photo documentation, technical and programmatic consultation, collective media outreach, and development support
• A year of regional network building among the WASI corps
• Affiliate status with Kleiwerks International, which means the represented organization will have additional support for its projects

Will you help us build this movement?
The effect of supporting one of WASI’s women will have multiple and lasting effects that will continue into the future in very meaningful ways. Please donate–modest to eye-popping amounts are welcome!

On behalf of the WASI women, we THANK YOU!
