NATURAL BUILDING EXTRAVAGANZA!!! was a 3-week event that was held at the Kleiwerks International headquarters in Asheville, NC, USA in 2011. There were 15 workshops and projects, 10 instructors, and more than 50 participants from four countries. As the anniversary of the January 12, 2010 earthquake in Haiti approaches, find out what Kleiwerks International and partners on the ground and around the world are doing to create lasting solutions. With leadership from our Haitian counterparts, Kleiwerks International is helping Haiti rebuild by using innovative bamboo technology, re-using rubble, and incorporating traditional architecture.
